The Knights of Columbus Host “The Last Picnic of 2025” – A Family Celebration of Faith and Fellowship

The Knights of Columbus – Bishop Savaryn Council 9559 invite everyone to join The Last Picnic of 2025 on Sunday, October 26, beginning at 2:00 PM at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church in Red Deer.

The event will feature pumpkin carving (with pumpkins and tools provided), a campfire and weiner roast starting at 4:00 PM, and singing around the fire to close out the day. Families are encouraged to bring their musical instruments and join in for songs and fellowship.

Before heading home, participants will light up their Jack-o-Lanterns, creating a warm, festive glow to end the evening.

This event is not a Halloween party, but a Christian alternative — celebrating friendship, family, and faith in a joyful atmosphere.

A registration sheet is available at the back of the church, or you can contact Claude to confirm attendance. Organizers kindly ask families to register in advance so there will be a pumpkin ready for every child. Donations will be accepted to help support the event.
