The Parish Pastoral Council supports the pastor in guiding the spiritual and practical life of St. Vladimir Parish. Together, its members help shape the vision, priorities, and everyday life of our parish family — ensuring that faith, stewardship, and service remain at the heart of everything we do.

Who We Are

The Parish Council is made up of parishioners who work closely with the pastor to listen, discern, and plan for the needs of our growing community.
Members come from all walks of life — what unites them is their love for the Church and their desire to see it flourish in faith and fellowship. The council fosters collaboration, transparency, and pastoral care so that our parish remains strong, welcoming, and united in purpose.

Chair

Currently: David Kolasa

Commitment: ~10 hours / month
As Chair, David provides leadership and direction for the Parish Council, ensuring meetings are thoughtful, organized, and guided by the mission of the Church.
He works in partnership with the pastor and council members to encourage participation, nurture collaboration, and help the parish grow in faith and service.

Vice-Chair

Currently: Vitalii Varvaruk & Vasyl Olyniiuk

Commitment: ~4 hours / month
The Vice-Chair assists the Chair in leading council activities and helps maintain smooth communication and cooperation among members.
Their supportive presence ensures that the work of the council continues effectively and harmoniously, even when the Chair is unavailable.

Secretary

Currently: Mariia Melnyk

Commitment: ~4 hours / month
The Secretary helps keep the life of the council well-organized and transparent.
By recording meetings, maintaining records, and coordinating communication, this role ensures decisions are clear and accessible to both the council and the wider parish.

Treasurer

Currently: Nadiya Brykaylo

Commitment: ~10 hours / month
The Treasurer oversees parish finances with care and diligence.
Through accurate record-keeping, budgeting, and reporting, this role helps ensure our parish resources are used wisely and in service of our shared mission.

Count Coordinator

Currently: Kit Nielsen

Commitment: ~6 hours / month
The Count Coordinator manages the collection and recording of parish donations, ensuring that every gift is handled with integrity and gratitude.
This work supports financial transparency and allows our parish to continue its ministries with confidence and accountability.

Donation Counter

Commitment: ~4 hours / month
Working with the Count Coordinator, Donation Counters quietly serve behind the scenes to record weekly offerings.
Their accuracy and dedication uphold the trust and generosity of our community.

Maintenance Coordinator

Currently: David Kolasa

Commitment: ~4 hours / month
The Maintenance Coordinator oversees the care of the church, hall, and rectory, ensuring our spaces remain safe and welcoming.
This stewardship of God’s house — through small repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordination with volunteers — reflects the love and pride our parish takes in its home.

Fundraising Coordinator

Status: Vacant

Commitment: ~4 hours / month
The Fundraising Coordinator works with parish leaders and volunteers to organize creative, community-building events that help sustain parish life.
These activities not only support our financial needs but also strengthen fellowship and shared purpose among parishioners.
